Stupid Bee: CPF Trade

Well...

I expect somebody with more than 20 years of trading experience to know something basic about CPF trade. No, he didnt.

Today a client called us to check on CPF trade. Her first time, also my first time.

Simple question like, when can a client sell the shares when the purchase was done on Monday.

HE DUNNO LOR!!

Fed up lor!!!!!

Heng ar, after consulting J and C, the answer is out!

One can sell the shares on the next day (after buying the shares) using CPF!!

to make thing worse, he provoked me again...

Bee: "He bought at 0.63, remember?"
Me: "No."
Bee:"U gotta remember it, pls hor, try to remember oki?"
Pause.
Bee:"You got problem remembering rite? I know you have better things to remember." (The transaction was done MONTHS AGO!)
Me: "What do you mean?"
Bee:"No, i didnt mean anything... &*(#%#%(_... (His voice just drifted away....)"

- He asked stupid question again.

Issue: Dividends

Most of the people know that if one investor buys stock which is declaring a dividend before its Ex-date, is entitled to....

DIVIDENDS!

BEE:"Ernie, do you know if Mr XXX is entitled to dividends?"

ME: "If he still has the shares before ex-date, he is entitled to."

BEE: "I remember its one day before rite?"

ME:"Huh? what one day before?"

BEE:" One day before lor. To be entitled to dividends."

ME: "I dun understand what you are talking about...."

BEE:"Its ok. I go find out." (Checking everywhere in the company)

BEE:" Ernie, Mr XXX is entitled to dividends!" (Remember I mentioned earlier that the client is entitled to dividends? DUH... and he cont..) "Let me explain. If the client has the shares before the ex-date, he is entitled to dividends. It applies even one day before the ex-date. Still in time."
